The Musselshell Valley Community Foundation raises money for an endowment to help support charitable projects in the Musselshell Valley Region and encourage philanthropic giving in the area. Since 1999, MVCF has given over $11,500 in grants to the America Reads Program in Melstone, Summer Reading Program in Roundup, Dean Creek Fire Department, The Rimrock Humane Society, Summer Drama Program, Head Start Program, Peppy 4-H, Golden Valley Ambulance, Roundup Youth Center, Melstone Community Farm Garden and Landscaping Project, and the Roundup Independence Days Extravaganza. Other Foundation activities include raising money for projects like Roundup's RiverWalk Heritage Trail and renovating the town's swimming pool, as well as sponsoring a variety of artistic, cultural and community events.
